Casey Aldridge - And People Say Leave Britney Alone

Casey Aldridge is in danger of facing statutory rape charges that carry a maximum penalty of 10 years behind bars for getting Jamie Lynn Spears pregnant at the age of sweet sixteen. Since Casey Aldridge had sex with a minor according to the law, he runs the risk of ending up in jail now.




If Casey Aldridge who is 19, really is the father of Jamie Lynns baby and it is proven that the baby was conceived in Spears's home state of Louisiana, then the act could technically be considered as "felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile". This is defined as "sexual intercourse with consent between someone age 19 or older and someone between age 12 and 17".

It was reported by Fox news, that in Louisiana a person can only legally consent to sex at age 17. If aged 15 or 16, the other person involved must be no more than two years older for the act to be considered legal.

The shocking news of Jamie Lynn's pregnancy was revealed when she granted a six-page interview with US magazine OK! Apparently she's also kept her older sister Britney Spears in the dark. Britney was fuming about the fact that she was one of the last people to find out.

Jamie Lynn found out via a home pregnancy test and had a huge shock when she did. She went to see a doctor and when he confirmed the results as positive she took two weeks of where she kept her pregnancy to Casey Aldridge a secret.

Casey Aldridge still hasn't made a public statement yet and whether the break up between him and Jamie Lynn is for real hasn't been officially confirmed either.



What is strange is that Casey's My Space profile states that he is only 17 and since the two have been going out for a few years this might actually be old new no longer relevant.

One thing is for sure, the Casey Aldridge plot thickens by the hour!

With Spears pregnant at th sweet age of 16 tongues have been wagging at the atrocity of the whole incident. Since Casey Aldridge got Britney Spears baby sister pregnant, much has been said regarding the incident. Spears pregnancy has been developing since some 3 month and now it looks like it was all done for nothing.

Momma Spears was supposed to publish a book called Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World -- but this book has now been put on hold indefinitely.

It seems obvious that this is due to the news of Spears being pregnant which hasn't served well to help the name Spears. AP has reported that Jamie Lynn is going to raise her child in Louisiana.

With the young Spears pregnant, it will not be easy for Jamie Lynn to raise a child without the father.

Casey Aldridge has been making headlines by the minute. Probably without even trying. We can only blame him for being in love with Jamie Lynn Spears. But Casey Aldridge isn't well known, despite the fact that he has been the on and off boyfriend of Spears.

The couple stated that their are keeping the baby according to various news sources. The future will tell whether Jamie Lynn and Casey Aldridge can cope with their pressure of being pregnant at such a young age. It does border on the illegal anyway since she is only 16. Casey Aldridge stated on his My Space (see above) page today that he and Jamie Lynn broke up.

It seems that the Spears family is a little dysfunctional first with Britney's scandal pregnancy and now with Lynn. The fact that the two of them met at church makes it only a little more sad.

Casey Aldridge and Jamie Lynn have been in a long term relationship and now that Jamie Lynn is pregnant to Casey Aldridge we wonder whether the pressure of stardom was to big for him?

Alternatively it could also be another public relationship stunt that begs to attract the already frenzied media even more. Whatever it is, we are sure that Casey Aldridge will be a hot item in weeks to come.

If Casey Aldridge really broke up with Jamie Lynn, then this could result into a similar story like with Britney and K-Fed.

The pair looks to have been in a steady relationship for several years and since Casey Aldridge is now thrust into the limelight he will have to learn on how he can handle himself as a celebrity. Casey Aldridge is quite a spunk and judging by the popularity of the pregnancy news he will gain his very own loyal following rather soon.

Casey is yet to give a statement about the whole pregnancy issue since Jamie Lynn is only 16 years young. She wants to have a normal life as much as this is possible with a celebrity sister.

Aldridge's mother also gave a statement about a recent interview that was being published of where Jamie Lynn stated that she wasn't in a steady relationship. Apparently the Aldridge family including Casey Aldridge fully supported what Jamie Lynn stated then.

Having a steady boyfriend in an age that is barely considered an adult many girls feel that they might need to play the field a little longer and therefore they might not feel comfortable talking about relationships in general. Whether this is true, or else Jamie Lynn wanted to protect the identity of Casey Aldridge we will probably never know.
